Another year

Well it's the end of another trip to the warmth of Mexico This year we visited a new area, Isla Mujeres. We met some new friends, Gene and Jana Berghoff and had a lot of family come to visit.

Our friend Ken was looking good and getting back to his old self after having a year of serious medical problems Everyone was glad o see him and how well he was doing.

The weather was great as usual with only two rainy days and a few windy ones. The rest of the time it was in the mid 80's and sunny.

Reservations are made for next year when it will once again be time to leave the cold gray sky's of Ohio behind.

We are now in Houston visiting with family on our way home.

Last full week

Tomorrow is the beginning of our last full week and Joe and Jodi are coming down to help us finish it off.

we had some cloudy sky's this morning and a few drizzles but those cleared off around 10 and it has been beautiful since. Not bad considering in four weeks there have only been 2 days with any kind of rain, NO SNOW and temps in the 80's.

One more week then it is off to Houston to visit the clan, pick up Martha's car and drive back home. I suppose we will be forced to visit Scrooge while we are in Houston!

Weej Three

Week three and it is still sunny and warm. It has been breezy the last couple days and the water is stirred up so it hasn't been as clear as normal.

Carnival started the end of last week so there have been shows and festivities every night since last Thursday. Carnival continues until the 13th.

The last of our friends arrived from New Jersey and everyone was glad to see them. Ken had been ill last year and everyone was concerned. Recovery is still ongoing but but he is liiking good and has the same crazy old personality as ever.

Joe and Jodi, Martha's nephew and his wife, arrive this week end and that will be the last of our family to visit this year. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the sun godess and brought plenty of lotion just in case she decides to use it (NOT)? Joe on the other hand looks like he is wearing a burka because he burns so easy.

Valentines day is this week so don't forget that special someone

Another Sunny Day

The wind has gone and it is nice and quiet on the beach this morning. The sun is shinning, only a few clouds AND NO SNOW. Brother John arrived yesterday and is still in awe of the beach and weather.

Last night being Super Bowl we found a nice little place on the beach, Zenzi's, had something to eat and watched the game on a 6 foot screen with the evening breeze.

Jen and Dan leave tomorrow and are not looking forward to it. Dan says he is wearing his shorts home in protest, and is already planning a return.

We send our sympathy on condokences to our friend from the resort lost her father recentl, and is home in Montreal for his 40 day memorial. We look forward to her return andcan't wait to see her again.

Last day at the Grand Mayan

This is the last day at the Grand Mayan tomorrow morning we move into town to the El Faro for the ladst three weeks.

It is a bit breezy and overcast today so we decided to sequester ourselves into one of the more protected areas of the pool surrounded by palms. As you can tell by the picture it wasn't much of a sacrafice.
